A Design Maven's Guide to Seattle Restaurants
Seattle certainly has a restaurant scene known globally for its diverse and top-notch fare. Though there may be a portion of these culinary experiences being completely overlooked: the interiors of these establishments. The restaurants I have included in this list have designed their interiors as thoughtfully as their menus.
Single Shot | 611 Summit Ave E
The light fixtures in Single Shot are to die for and the unique curve of the marble bar creates a high-end speak easy vibe that will make you want to order one of their craft cocktails…or four.
Foreign National | 300 E Pike St
The low lights reflecting off of the mirrored shelves behind the bar at Foreign National create a design ambiance that feels very modern and cool. The thoughtful vintage glass glassware only adds to the sleek style of this downtown spot.
TOMO | 16th Ave SW
Tomo is serving up more than just ethically sourced food. This white center restaurant has mastered minimalism and expresses that with simplistic, refined, and no-fuss design all throughout the space.
Canlis | 2576 Aurora Ave N
How could I not mention Canlis! If the Pacific Northwest had its own interior design style it would be inspired by Canlis. Modern Lines (yet rustic), vast windows, bringing the outside in; what could be more PNW than that.
Art of the Table | 3801 Stone Way N
The geometric wood paneling in Art of the Table calls on an eclectic design style in a way that feels custom and approachable. You can tell a designer had fun when it came to creating this space.
